April 21st, 2026 – Celebration of our New location and 40th Anniversary

About 100 of our supporters joined us at our new location on April 14th to celebration 40 years of service in our community. What a success!

As Project Literacy receives no federal funding, we rely on provincial and community grants, and corporate & individual donors.

“We are thrilled to have been here for 40 years and look forward to providing many more years of literacy support to the region.” Said Jane Cartwright, Chair and President of the Project Literacy Board.

The evening celebration included a steak and chicken BBQ, and custom cocktails from Luckhurst Farm and Distillery.

March 28th, 2026 – Beyond Words Book Signing and Fundraiser

Attention all avid readers! Come out to the Beyond Words book signing fundraiser at the Grizzli Winery on Saturday, March 28 starting at 2pm.
There will be over 30 amazing authors, with 100+ books for you to explore. There are new books for everyone: children’s stories, memoirs, crime and mystery, feel-good reads, and inspiring spiritual titles. And check out our silent auction featuring incredible items like a winery tour with wine and charcuterie, an Okanagan Lake tour, and so much more.
All silent auction proceeds go towards supporting Project Literacy!

The Grizzli Winery is located at 2550 Boucherie Rd, West Kelowna. 

March 1st, 2026 – Unplug & Play 2026 has come to a close!

Thank you to everyone who joined us this year. We can’t wait to see you again in 2027, stay tuned for next year’s dates and details!

October 1st, 2025 – Project Literacy is moving to our new location at 107 – 2293 Leckie Road!

We will be closed at our Bertram Street location from Monday, October 6 to Friday, October 10. We will be open at Leckie Rd. starting Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
