Raise a Reader is our most important campaign of the year because our provincial government tops up the amount we raise ourselves. Last year that amounted to a 75% increase!
We are seeking volunteers to join us on the morning of Raise a Reader Day (wed. 23rd 2015) as we hit the streets to give out Daily Courier newspapers in exchange for donations.
Volunteers will be divided into teams of 2 to 4 people and stationed at coffee shops around Kelowna from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m..
Some volunteers will also be needed to deliver “hawking” kits (t-shirts, newspapers etc.) to and from a central hub close to their assigned coffee shop. Their shifts will run a bit longer.
