An Original Canadian Radio Play! Performed live at the Kelowna Community Theatre, January 23,2022

Project Literacy to produce a New Canadian Radio Play!

Live performance and recording will take place at the Kelowna Community Theatre

In celebration of their 35 Anniversary, Project Literacy is excited to be producing a radio play! Lee Karvonen, lead of the Geri-Actors Troup from the Society for Learning in Retirement has co-written the play with our Executive Director, Paul Zuurbier. The radio play is funded through the New Horizons For Seniors Program.

The play is about and for seniors in our community! It is a historical romantic comedy, which follows the lives and love of two couples, both in the past and in the present.

Auditions for parts in the play will be held in November. Most of the roles will be performed by seniors.

A live performance and recording will take place at the Kelowna Community Theatre – Main Stage, on Sunday, January 23, 2022.

Original music, sound effects and sound editing provide by local recording artist Jodie B.

Stay tuned for more information on audition dates and how to get tickets to attend the play.
